My work load was becoming overwhelming to keep up with it all. I thought, how can I bring everyone together when we're scattered around the world?
I talked with Charlotte Talley, the creator of SILVER- It's Just a State of Mind. She was the only one I was helping while I had several knocking on my door wanting help.
She inspired me to create the Club 2.22 concept to unite together independent industry professionals who are starting out and build the fan-base that will love their work. Here we are! 1 YEAR LATER!
She's not the only one that I am able to help. People came and went. Some placed their work on the backburner for a moment and will be coming on the scene when it's their time. For now, I'm honored to work with:
Charlotte Talley- Silver- is just a state of mind - bringing joy to the 7 million families in the US who have loved ones living with Alzheimers
Jeff Lofton - Blood Money - Where do you think the 30 pieces of silver are today that Judas betrayed Jesus with?
Marisa Brogna- The Silent Truth - Bringing hope to the deaf community in Italy
Elmine Etta - Saving a Generation - a documentary on her dream to help save the lives of young girls in Camaroon who are dying or becoming sterile because of female circumcisions.
Jim Clark - The Greenhouse - a look at the abortion issue through the eyes of a doctor trying to escape the grief of losing his own daughter and her unborn child.
Terry Hirsch - Becoming - A veteran dealing with many losses in life finds love again and the will to live instead of becoming part of the statistic of 22 veterans a day committing suicide.
Diana Ninsiima - The future of Uganda. I remember meeting her 12 years ago and watching her discover her own future. To see it come to life and become a legacy to over 350 children in her nation, has been remarkable. It's like being a part of the Mother Theresa of Uganda.
Cathy Grassi - Family Matters - I can't imagine moving to another country to make a better life for my daughter. Another city? Yes. Another country? No. When it's a short lived time apart and you come back together expecting her to still be a little girl and she's all grown up, things are going to be a little awkward.
Eszter Willard lives in Tennessee. She always dreamed of being a children's author. I am not, and had a story for kids someone else wanted me to write and produce. When we met, we knew it was serendipitous and Scooter's Second Chances began to develop.
Joshua Balikoowa lives a quiet life in Uganda. His story of a thirty-something American Jewish Rabbi is anything but quiet. The Unnerved Sojourner will take you down a road created through his imagination in a way that will cause you to stop and consider many life adventures and how humans are not that different. We have different experiences that can all lead to the same valley of decision.
This is just the beginning of something beautiful.
